Winter 2010

This is February 17, 2010. Global warming seems to have fizzled out here in Ohio. We haven't had one big snow, but its been snowing a little each day for a couple of weeks. It's starting to really pile up. I'm running out of place to put snow. My plow can only push it so high.

The forecast is for continued light snow all week until this weekend when we're supposed to get a snow storm.

I'm wondering if I should get a snow blower. The plow is really quick for clearing the driveway - run down and back a couple times and I'm done. The problem comes about when the snow gets piled up higher than the plow can push the new snow past.

A snow blower has no trouble moving the snow out of the way, but I wonder how often we're going to have this much snow. I also wonder how much longer my John Deere would last is I wasn't using it for a bulldozer. That's got to be hard on the transmission and all the linkages.

You can see from the table at the left, that since Jan. 1, we've had only 12 day where the temperature got above freezing, and we've had 30 days where we got some snow
My son's car is pretty well buried. I need him to come and get it out of here so I have more room to pile snow.
