Glacier Vacation
Monday, Day 6

We drove from Spokane Washington to Missuoula, Montana. We stopped at the memorial for the Subshine mine fire victims near Kellog, Idaho, and then stopped in Wallace, Idaho intending to visit the Sierra Silver Mine museum. There was a visitors area right at the interstate and we walked through that. We had a nice visit for free.

The next stop was just west of Missoula at the Smoke Jumpers Visitors Center. We had a very nice tour of the whole facility and learned a lot about the smoke jumpers. They are federal employees.

We stayed at the Doubletree in Missoula using Hilton points.

Big Ingersol Rand compressor that uses "rope drive." It actually uses ropes for the drive. Never heard of such a thing. This is just one of many items on display. I should have taken more pictures.
