Tire
and Fender Blowout RepairJuly 23, 2010The right rear tire shredded and the tread came up through the tire well. Apparently it had a bad case of rust out because the tread ripped a big hole in the rear of the wheel well.
I went to work with some sheet metal and pop rivets and have it pretty well patched up, at least enough to last the four more weeks he needs it before he leaves for Washington D.C.

The shredded tire. It didn't go flat, but he still had to put the spare on to get home. This would have done even more damage if he had kept going.
