Card Table Restoration

Summer of 2009, I reconditioned an old card table that we "inherited" when we moved into our second house in Kentucky, circa 1980. It was left behind by the previous owner because it was in bad shape then. We probably didn't make it any worse because we practically never used it.

So this summer Mrs. Boyd decided to through it out. I guess I had the same attitude my dad would have - better to spend a little time fixing it up, rather than just filling a landfill.

So I painted the metal and put a new cover on it.

The hardest part and most time consuming was figuring out what material to cover it with and where to get it. I found some fairly cheap material at Hobby Lobby, the only place I looked.

Sanded and then primer on the frame. Then black finish coat.
