The
Generator Blows UpIn
December, 2004, I loaned the generator out to a lady who's power was
out. I forgot to tell her to check the oil in the engine, and sure
enough it went low and threw a rod (broken connecting rod). I'm
rebuilding it now and will have some pics here soon.
The
connecting rod was broken and the fuel pump was broken, so both had to
be replaced. The connecting rod was straight forward, but the fuel pump
got rather complicated. But I eventually got it done and it works fine. It does burn oil pretty fast (although it doesn't show blue smoke.)
