22. Joseph III BOYD was born on Jun 2, 1792 in , , Maryland.^6,14 He died in 1847. He was buried in Friends Burying Ground, Baltimore, Md..¹⁴ Death date may be 1849. Not sure of source "As a young man he went to sea, returning to Baltimore later where he married Arpatia Harwell on April 25, 1838. She died in 1839 and Joseph went to live with his sister, Ann Scott Livingston, until his death in 1847. He was a carpenter by trade and made a teakwood table, which is now in the possession of Gwyneth Pease Spindel."-E. Berkshire
According to Compiled Records of Boyd Family by Myrna Boyd Williams, Joseph was born 2 Jun 1792 and died 25 Aug 1844 or 1849, not 1847 as noted by E. Berkshire.
Annals of Boyd Family also state that he was a carpenter and that he died in 1847 at the age of 55 years. This works out with his birth year, and since it matches the information the E. Berkshire has, I'm sure its right.
