Permission is hereby granted to Edm'd B. Mosher Hospital Steward 15th Ohio Vol's to proceed to Columbus Ohio for the purpose of being examined for an Assistant Surgeon. To rejoin his Regiment within 10 day from this Date.

At the request of the Governor of Ohio, Hosptial Steward Edmond B. Mosher, 15th Ohio Volunteers is hereby honorably discharged the service of the United States, to enable him to accept a commision as Assistant Surgeon in another regiment, with condition that , if not mustered in as an officer under the same, he shall return to his former regiment or be considered a deserter.
