"To all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth: Peace be multiplied to you.
It seemed good before me to declare the signs and wonders that the Most High God has done with me. How great are His signs! And how mighty are His wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and His rule is from generation to generation." Daniel 4:1b-3.
We studied Daniel Ch 4 in Sunday School this past week (May 2006). It is yet another illustration of God's sovreignty. It says in bold words, God is God, man is man. This is such an important message. We need to recognize everyday who God is and who we are. When we do, it brings us to steadfast trust in Him and that trust brings us to obedience to Him. When we do not recognize who God is, that condition, by definition, is pride. It is placing ourselves before God.
In Sunday School yesterday, a friend said that when she considered God and then considered herself, she realized that she is just a "pile of mercy." I can identify with that!
